The Technology and Maintenance Council of the American Trucking Association (TMC) exists to “to improve transport equipment, its maintenance and maintenance management.” The 2600 members of TMC include maintenance managers and executives from a broad range of fleets, as well as numerous vehicle and Tier 1 OEM technical experts.
An active member since 1992, John Adami was elected to the TMC Board of Directors in 2014, and has served as both Chairman of Associates and Chairman of Membership & Publicity. He currently chairs the Future Cab & Driver Interface committee.
The Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) is a “global body of scientists, engineers, and practitioners that advances self-propelled vehicle and system knowledge in a neutral forum for the benefit of society.” In the commercial vehicle industry, SAE leads the development of standards and promotes the advancement of new technologies.
MEMA is a member-driven organization that provides industry leadership for NAFTA-based heavy duty original equipment and aftermarket commercial vehicle suppliers. This is accomplished through a range of services to its nearly 200 member companies. MEMA serves its on and off-highway commercial vehicle supplier members as their voice to government and industry.

Through membership and leadership roles in TMC, SAE, and MEMA, as well as regular attendance at key industry events including ACT Expo, IAA, and NTEA, Northwest Heavy Duty maintains an active role in information gathering and networking with key industry leaders.
